    If you are looking for an on-trend project that will hold your interest, you have found it in this pattern. If you like the challenge of intricate cablingand other types of stitch work, you will enjoy these projects. The sleeve of the cardigan has a picot bind-off, and you can choose to echo this trimon the front and neck edges, the fronts and neck plus the lower edge, or not at all. The edges of the capelet are trimmed in the same manner.

    This sweater rides the fashion wave with a flattering torso band and gentle flaring to the hipThe V-neck and bell sleeves flatter any figure. It will fit bust sizes 38-40”. The capelet, a fashion must-have, is one size fits most
    Note: For larger or smaller sizes, choose heavier or lighter yarns, and larger or smaller needle sizes.

    Both projects begin at the lower edge, and you have several options for casting on:

    • use a conventional long-tail cast-on and leave the lower edge plain;
    • begin with a conventional long-tail cast-on and apply a picot crochet edge later; or
    • begin with a picot cast-on in either the main color or a contrasting yarn, which requires no further finishing.

    Once you have finished the knitting, finishing is minimal. Weave in all the ends and create and apply I-cord ties. There are also instructions for the crocheted picot edge shown in the picture, but this is optional if you like a plainer look.

    You will need to be familiar with cable or long-tail cast-onknittingpurlingworking yarn overs and decreases, and cabling. Although this is an intensely patterned design that requires lots of attention to detail, if you follow the stitch-by-stitchrow-by-row instructions, you should have no problem.

    I hope you enjoy making these fashionable pieces as much as I did designing them! Here is what you will need:
