350 yards of DK weight yarn
29” circular needle #6 plus spare needle to hold sts while grafting
3 buttons, any size
75 yards DK weight yarn
DP needles #6
a blunt sewing needle with large eye
with the border, work the inner section from the bottom up, kitchener (graft)
side and top edges invisibly to the inner section, and voila! You have a seamless
angled piece that, when folded and stitched, and accented with beautiful
buttons, becomes a very fashionable cowl.
Wear yours over your favorite top, or over your Geometrical Fugue Jacket and D.K. Geometrical Fugue Jacket for extra warmth.
This project is a great deal of fun both to knit and to wear. You will need 350 yards of DK weight yarn for the cowl, and 75 yards for the wrist warmers. The gauge in DK yarn is 5 sts = 1” on size 6 needles. You can also achieve different sizes by varying weight of yarn, needle size, or both.
